Come renew your body, mind and spirit with a Yin Yoga class created for you. We teach Yin in a supported and loving way in the privacy of your own home. Yin Yoga has the potential for deep healing of our body, mind and spirit. 
 

The principles of Yin Yoga allow every body and everybody to take the poses offered and find their own bodies way of supporting the pose with all kinds of props and supports. You don't have to be flexible or have yoga experience. In a Yin class we will stay in the poses for anywhere from 2-4 minutes to allow the body to settle, soften and find stillness for deep healing. 

What is Yin? Yin is a Chinese word for the feminine qualities. This does not mean gender. These are qualities such as Nurturing, Intuitive, Relaxed, Imaginative, Quiet, Earth, Moon, Water, Softness, Slow, Rest, Structure, Contracting, and Inward to name a few. The idea of Yin Yoga is that we move more slowly, more inward, be curious about how are bodies are feeling, taking time for the muscle tissue, fascia tissue to soften and release tension. It's a wonderful practice. Have some pillows, blankets and blocks handy. If you don't have them, use things you have around the house.
